About the partner

Tallinn Airport Ltd operates and develops airports belonging to the company in order to ensure the provision of service of aircrafts, passengers and goods on the ground. The company manages airports that are located in Estonia, which besides Tallinn Airport include the airports of Tartu, Pärnu, Kuressaare, Kärdla, Kihnu and Ruhnu.

Tallinn Airport is owned 100% by the Republic of Estonia.

Role in the project

In BALTIC BIRD project, Tallinn Airport contributes in terms of air traffic data, research results as well as in terms of transnationally sharing experiences and practices with partners around Baltic Sea Region (BSR).

In the course of BALTIC BIRD project, Tallinn Airport expects to get a better understanding of the strategies and actions necessary to be implemented to develop air traffic in regions with small catchment areas (peripheral BSR).

Tallinn Airport will use PAX market route potential analysis and aims at launching at least one new route as a result, possibly together with the other participating organization in Estonia: Estonian Air.

Additionally, participation in BALTIC BIRD project gives Tallinn Airport an ideal opportunity to network with a number of Baltic Sea regions’ airports and airlines.
